Brady Wins Commitment to Worker Safety Awards

New Brady products are award winners. Earlier this month, Brady's Arc Flash Training Aids products and its MiniMark^TM  Industrial Label Printer were recognized with Commitment to Worker Safety Awards. Compliance Magazine, a publication for safety professionals, presented the awards at the National Safety Congress Expo in San Diego earlier this month.

The Commitment to Worker Safety Award recognizes achievements in the development of safety equipment products. "These awards acknowledge Brady's commitment to developing new products that meet the changing needs of the safety and facility identification market," said Tom Campbell, category marketing manager for safety and facility identification.

Arc Flash training aids earned an award in the training category. Brady's Arc Flash training aids promote safe, compliant electrical-work practices that can help reduce accidents. Training aids highlight activities and conditions where arc flash can occur and provide workers with guidelines for protecting themselves. Additional Arc Flash products include self-adhesive labels, laminated wallet cards and preprinted work permits  that meet requirements from the National Fire Protection Association.

Brady's MiniMarkTM Industrial Label Printer earned its award in the signs/warning equipment category. The printer is compact yet fully functional and it can print signs and labels on site to help companies increase worker safety, ensure compliance with safety regulations, and manage assets. With a MiniMark printer, users create signs, pipe markers, labels, and other facility identification quickly and easily at lower costs than custom signs and labels and with no lead times.   "While many of our products are developed in response to safety regulations, others including the MiniMark printer, help customers with a wide range of identification needs," said Lynn Bruner, product marketing manager.

"These printers help customers place important information at the point of need, when they need it and how they need it.  By identifying such things as work flow processes, maintenance and lockout procedures, and equipment, efficiency improves significantly and, most importantly, worker safety is significantly improved."

A panel of industry experts evaluated each entry based on innovation, impact on worker safety, and ease of use. The winners of all Commitment to Worker Safety Awards will be announced in the November/December issue of Compliance Magazine, a resource to help safety professionals maintain safe working environments. Earlier this year, the MiniMark printer received the Most Friendly Product Award in the safety category at Sicurtech 2006, a tradeshow focused on security and safety products.
